MyLists is a feature provided by Digikey which enables the creation of a parts list for part procurement, quotations, and collaboration. MyLists enables users to analyze critical supply chain information for BOMs to streamline part procurement such as:
- Pricing
- Availability
- Lead time
- Part obsolescence
- Total BOM cost
- Packaging
New in OrCAD X Capture is the ability to upload a BOM to MyLists with UltraBOM for Digikey to seamlessly push component requirements from the schematic to purchasing.
This quick how-to will provide step-by-step instructions on how to upload a BOM to MyLists with UltraBOM for Digikey.

Activate UltraBOM for Digikey
Step 1: With OrCAD X Capture open, select UltraBOM > Digikey > Open from the menu.
Step 2: The UltraBOM for Digikey window opens at the bottom of the screen. Ensure the status of the parts in the design are listed with a green check.
Note: If the status is not verified, select the cell under the status. A list of available components from Digikey which match the part will be listed. Select the correct component and select Update or Update Multiple as required. Repeat this process as needed.
Upload a BOM to MyLists with UltraBOM for Digikey
Step 3: When the design is complete and BOM is ready, select the BOM tab.
Step 4: Select Add New List to MyLists.

Step 5: Enter a name for the New List and click Create.
Step 6: The list has been created and a new button has appeared in UltraBOM for Digikey enabling access to the newly created list. Select Open Digikey MyLists.
Step 7: A webpage opens displaying the list, components, quantities required, packaging, pricing, availability, and more. Review any issues which are automatically identified such as component obsolescence, minimum order quantity required, and cost saving opportunities.
Note: If a webpage opens to the MyLists instead of displaying the BOM and supply chain information, login to your Digikey account.
